Playground Rug

From February 9th - 13th, I was a visiting artist in the Joe Ballay Center for Design Fusion. Over 120 people visited my studio while I tufted a rug designed in collaboration with the Children's School. In room 123, about 30 visitors tested out the tufting machines and contributed to the rug project! The final sculpted tapestry was showcased on February 13th and will live in the Children's School to serve as a space for imaginative play. This abstract map also included 63 trees, one for each student enrolled in the school.
